X-Ray Technologist
Full Name:
Chun Fox
Employer:
OHSU Like most recent high school graduates, Chun just wanted to make some cash. Seven years later, he was still working the same job. It was time to switch it up.
What do you do?:
I'm an x-ray technologist. So, I take x-rays of people to find out what's going on inside.
What was your path to get where you are today?:
After I graduated from high school, I wasn’t even thinking about a career. I just wanted to make a little cash. So I got a job selling cell phones at the mall. It was a job, and it was nice to get paid, but I never thought I would do it for seven years. I just didn’t know what else I wanted to do, you know? One of the guys I met through the National Guard was an X-ray tech. He always talked about what a great job it was and how he never worried if he was going to be out of work. I always knew I wanted to help people, but hadn’t thought much about working in health care. So, I looked into it. I found an X-ray tech program and dove right in. Now I’m getting certified in CT scanning. I’ve got so many options from here.
